The internal kitting out of the new EDVANCE site has started, following the end of the structural building work. A great collective project!

Currently in full development, EDVANCE* wishes to regroup all its staff in the Paris region, currently spread over four sites, in a single geographical location**. This is why, in 2019 it launched the construction project of its new site: Le FLOW.

Located in Montrouge, Le FLOW has three buildings (more than 22,500 square meters in total) connected by a crossing plinth, modular spaces for meetings, areas dedicated to sports activities and a company restaurant. It will accommodate up to 1,200 employees by the end of 2021.

EDVANCE has entrusted G2S with the kitting out of the work spaces (WIFI and local network, meeting rooms, collaborative spaces, wiring, offices management…) for the arrival of the staff in November. An ambitious objective, given the context of the health crisis, which benefits from the hard work of all the people involved in the internal kitting out project.

* A subsidiary of EDF and Framatome, EDVANCE has been involved since 2017 in the overhaul of the French nuclear industry by bringing together EDF and AREVA (FRAMATOME) engineering departments. It manages design and construction projects for nuclear islands, as well as the control of nuclear reactors under construction in France and abroad.

** Le FLOW will bring together the EDVANCE staff from the LTA (La Tour AREVA, La Défense) and MAGNETIK sites and will complete the EDVANCE Campus in MONTROUGE, which includes the Park AZUR, 11M and VIVA sites.

Philippe TROCCAZ was interviewed in the special program produced with the DSIT and EDF’s International offices.

How can an EDF subsidiary benefit from IT solutions that are as efficient and secure as in France, when they are in Johannesburg, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Washington or Yamoussoukro? This was the theme of this special program in which Philippe TROCCAZ, in charge of G2S’ international clients, participated with representatives from DSIT and EDF’s International offices.

Deputy Director of the Middle East Zone* Stéphanie MARCO contacted G2S and DSIT in 2020 after having noticed a strong dissatisfaction of the collaborators with the IT tools. The objective was to provide answers to the specific needs of the subsidiaries located in this region, particularly in terms of ergonomics and anchoring to the EDF IS, but also to conduct an audit to identify areas of weakness in terms of IT security and remedy them.

Philippe Troccaz assists EDF’s IT department in analyzing the problems reported by the International offices and following up on remedial actions. He participates also in a number of high-stakes issues for international subsidiaries..

“There are a certain number of specificities to take into account,” explains Philippe. For example, the use of local equipment such as workstations that are not EDF workstations or English as working language. To carry out these actions, it is often necessary to provide support that is a little more advanced than traditional support.

And this partnership between DSIT and G2S is all about: enabling the Group’s collaborators around the world to work in better conditions and in complete safety.

A new face in the G2S client relations team! Before joining us last November, Benoît Blondel worked in a large international company. He is now in charge of a portfolio of clients composed of several small EDF subsidiaries, as well as EDF PEI and CCAS.

“I come from the telecom sector, where I spent 15 years. It’s quite a different world, but I’ve been involved in client relationship management for my entire career! So I’m familiar with my new job.”

Having arrived during a complicated period (in the middle of a lockdown here in France), his integration within G2S was nevertheless facilitated by a pleasant work environment: “There is a real team spirit, with a lot of exchange, sharing, and tools to facilitate the integration of newcomers.”

After 22 years and six positions in EDF’s Commerce Division, Delphine Le Querrec has joined G2S ! Delphine Le Querrec joined G2S on September 1^st as CRM in charge of developing our Tertiary solutions. “For me, this is an opportunity to discover the world of EDF Group subsidiaries and to take up a great challenge entrusted by Laurent Berry”.

Delphine’s main assets: her knowledge of the commercial field, her experience in network management and coordination. “I’m delighted to have joined G2S,” confides Delphine. “It’s a dynamic team, with very diverse profiles… the welcome has been very warm!”
